"We went with a group of friends and tried several dishes from the menu. First of all, we were served a huge basket of freshly baked sourdough bread with amazing olive oil, such a great start! We ordered a variety of plates to share, and everything was delicious and generous in portion. Highlights for us were the octopus and the massive branzino, both outstanding. The service was excellent from beginning to end. A solid 10/10. We’ll definitely be coming back! :)"

"Most dishes are very good, we had very traditional Greek items such as saganaki, dolmades, octopus (excellent), gigantes, kolokothokeftedes (zucchini cakes). The taramosalata, typical of the Greek mezedes, was disappointing, very flavorless. The kokkinisto with lamb shank excellent. The loukoumades (doughnut balls) were disappointing, not crispy on the outside. I have cut marks on atmosphere because of two things. Greek hospitality, filoxenia, is famous; it was completely missing. The service was what you would expect at a good restaurant, no more. Simple Greek greetings such as "kalosorizete" (welcome) and "styn iyeia sas" (to your health) after pouring the drinks would have made it more authentic. And the "kerasma" (typically a simple dessert) on the house, so inherent to the Greek culture was completely missing."

"This was the best Greek food I’ve ever had! The food was delicious, and the temperature and atmosphere of the restaurant were perfect. Our server, Ben, was incredibly kind and professional. His recommendations did not disappoint. The highlights of the meal were the lamb and sea bass—both made with fresh ingredients and had an amazingly tender texture. Everything came together perfectly. This is definitely a place I’d love to return to when I’m back in San Francisco! 👏🍽️🥂"

"Definitely one of the best Greek restaurant in the city of San Francisco! The experience starts with the extraordinary interior design of the rustic vintage farmhouse, vibe filled with energy. There is a giant skewer of kebab oven in the center of the restaurant as well. Service is great, busy lively., the food is absolutely delicious. We got lamb and various veggies. The feta and watermelon salad is surprisingly good. highly recommend."

"We had the pleasure of dining at Kokkari, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. The quality of the food was exceptional—each dish was crafted with the freshest ingredients, and the flavors truly transported me back to the Mediterranean. The authenticity of the cuisine reminded me so much of the Mediterranean food I enjoy in my home country, and it was a delightful reminder of those rich, comforting tastes. The service was also top-notch, with the staff being very attentive. Everything from the atmosphere to the overall dining experience was simply perfect. We will definitely be back to enjoy another memorable meal at Kokkari. Highly recommended!"
