"So happy I stumbled upon this place. Had a taste for good Italian and good wine. Was actually headed to a competitors establishment but traffic was bad and I didnt feel like dealing with it. The food here was top tier. Service was great too. It just started off kind of awkward, at least from my perspective. But my waitress warmed up about mid way and the remainder of the service was stellar. I had the lamb appetizer. 🤌🏾 Had a pesto ravioli with Italian ham and cheese filling. Pistachio sauce. Incredible mix of flavors. Cappuccino cheese cake for dessert. Perfect texture. Great flavor. The whole meal including the wine was pure perfection. Will repeat as often as I can."

"I love this place! Friendly atmosphere, delicious food and a generous wine list. You can't go wrong with the house made lasagna or gnocchi but everything I've tried has been fresh and flavorful."

"Disappointed with the food. Soup of the day was a very good yummy cauliflower. The bread basket was nothing special. The Veal marsala dish was tasty but not what was expected, as meat too thick, overcooked and was more of a cutlet thickness, missing being tender, wild mushroom disappointing as also thick. Marsala Wine Sauce taste was totally missing more like a weak thin mushroom gravy. My lasagna was top cheese scalded and I had one bite of burn taste to a slid apart layer with too much tomato taste. Sadly, if this was a Beba clone it failed as a Saturday night leftover. The lemon tart was outstanding great! My glass of wine was excellent. My coffee at the end with tart was just okay nothing special as it needed more temperature to be better even the second cup was low temp. Now Jeninne service was personal and outstanding. She just needed a little interaction and she was great with a real personality that shines!"

"Lunch in the bar on Thursday or Friday is about as good as it gets--great atmosphere, great food! The calves liver and mashed potatoes is gourmet.and they make really good margaritas."

"Biba, reborn! At least according to my long time Sacramento parents. They can vouch for the OG, and according to them, it compares. Personally, I loved Mattone. It was your classic Italian restaurant with elevated aspects, but the casual and warm family atmosphere that makes it feel like Tori’s having a meal made with love. The lasagne is worth the hype, but I was glad I ordered the homemade ravioli because it was delicious! Portions were decent and the salads were fresh too. Our waiter was lovely and we had a wonderful evening celebrating our first wedding anniversary. I would definitely come back here, and am just grateful the legacy of the place lives on. 🍝"
