What Diners Are Saying
"Had a fantastic meal at Z&Y Peking Duck!! Ordered the whole duck in advance when we made the reservation. Ling was a really great server and attentive! Also got the pork belly with preserved greens, spicy duck blood, and green beans - all delicious! Finished with the almond curd which was adorable and tasty, but not too sweet. Would definitely come back!"- Nicole Yu
"Z&Y Restaurant is hands down one of the best spots in San Francisco for Peking duck but make sure you call ahead and reserve your duck because they do run out, and it’s their star dish for a reason. The duck is top-notch: beautifully roasted, shiny and crispy skin, and not overly fatty, which makes it even better. It’s served with soft pancakes, green onions, cucumber, and even a small dish of sugar. I was curious about the sugar until I overheard the table next to me dipping the duck skin in it is game changer! The quality is excellent, and while you might find cheaper Peking duck elsewhere, the flavor and texture here make it well worth the price. We also ordered the Chicken with Explosive Chili Pepper, which featured a generous amount of Szechuan chili peppers. It delivered that classic mouth-numbing sensation, but in a perfectly balanced way not overwhelming at all. The fried chicken pieces were seasoned perfectly and packed with flavor. On top of the amazing food, the service stood out. Even though the place was busy, one of the servers took the time to explain the dish’s origin and the best way to enjoy it, which made the whole experience even more special. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Chinese flavors especially the duck. A must-visit when in SF!"- N R
"We came as a large group and were able to get a table early in the night. Their Peking duck is really good. Our server Stanley was very helpful and helped us split our dishes for sharing as well."- Michelle Huang
"The Peking duck here is so good! We also really liked the duck soup that they make with the bones. You have two options for what to do with the rest of the duck after they carve it: soup or salt&pepper duck. Highly recommend the soup! We also really liked the Beijing noodles! Our server Stanley was really nice too"- Jonathan Mak
"The Peking duck is wonderful. The wraps were thin, which is great. The fried green beans dish was also amazingly good. Soup dumplings were awesome. The dish I was disappointed was “ Couple’s Delight”, which was too salty and sour. For the full Peking duck, they didn’t serve the duck bone. From other restaurant, we usually also got deep fried duck bone with garlic salt pepper powder, or duck bone soup without extra charges."- Helen N
